France/Le Passage. Iberian twinning in Spanish hostel style

On Saturday December 6, a large number of members of the Le Passage-Consuegra twinning committee gathered at the Maison du Temps Libre to reminisce about the last visit of their Spanish friends.

More than half the membership had accepted the invitation from the committee's board of directors and its president, Gilbert Vidal. Any number of choices could have been made to determine the most appropriate form of conviviality for this event, but in reality there was only one: the auberge espagnole!

Around a table laid with good food concocted by one and all, the guests were treated to a slide show retracing the best moments spent with their Castilian guests, many of whom had been friends for a long time, the twinning having been signed in 1993. The slide show was accompanied by Spanish music, as Iberian folklore is rich enough without having to look any further.

Last August, the Consuegra delegation was welcomed to the commune as part of a program of visits to discover the region. The trip included a stopover in Cahors, showcasing its rich historical heritage.

In keeping with tradition, next year it will be the Passageois who will take to the road to the Toleban region and the city of mills, a date eagerly awaited.
