Chevrons Charlevoix's investment of $741,394 will enable the company to automate all of its production. The company aims to improve working conditions for its workforce and double its production capacity. The addition of several pieces of equipment will greatly increase the precision and speed of execution of the templates. In addition, the new work organization will reduce the complexity of handling and considerably reduce the risk of injury. In the short term, this project will lead to the creation of an additional technician job. The MRC is proud to invest $80,000 in this project through a non-repayable financial assistance contribution from the Fonds de la région de la Capitale-Nationale.

"For your government, supporting our businesses is more than just a duty; it is a clear commitment to ensuring that they prosper and develop their full potential. Over the past year, they have shown great agility in adapting to the new reality. This demonstrates the resilience and strength of character of our entrepreneurs in the Capitale-Nationale. Chevrons Charlevoix is a fine example of this, and I congratulate the entire team for its initiatives that are a boon to our local economy," explained Geneviève Guilbault, Deputy Premier, Minister of Public Security and Minister responsible for the Capitale-Nationale region.

"With its 30 years of experience, Chevrons Charlevoix is an active participant in the region's economy. I welcome this investment, which will enable the company to implement its automation plan and ensure the well-being of its employees," added Émilie Foster, MNA for Charlevoix-Côte-de-Beaupré.

The FRCN was created under the Act granting Québec City the status of national capital and increasing its autonomy and powers. For the years 2020 to 2024, the Regional County Municipality of Charlevoix has an envelope of $2,413,379 from the Secrétariat à la Capitale-Nationale to financially support projects that will have a significant impact on the territory. The investment policy and the financial assistance application form are available on the MRC website or from the advisors of the Local and Entrepreneurial Development Service, who offer their expertise to provide technical support to promoters.
