Benin/Covid-19 week campaign officially launched at Ceg1 Djougou
The secretary general of the Donga prefecture, Issaka Moussa Yaya officially launched this Monday at the Ceg1 of Djougou, the campaign "Covid-19 week" initiated by SIA N'SON Ong with the financial support of USAID in schools in the communes of Donga.

"Every step saves lives: Let's move forward" and "Coronavirus, we are all committed to fighting you" were among the slogans that helped focus the learners' attention on the need to continue to observe and intensify the barrier gestures against the Covid-19.
Despite the efforts made by the Beninese authorities and their development partners, noted SIA N'SON Executive Director Balogoun Salomon, the situation continues to worsen and requires urgent action to avoid the worst. Thus, the objective of the package of activities initiated within the framework of this campaign, he explained, is to work for the reinforcement of the respect of barrier measures in all schools in the Donga department. Following the departmental director of technical education and vocational training, Slassifi Dramane, the secretary general of the prefecture of Djougou, Issaka Moussa Yaya, welcomed this timely action in support of the efforts made by the government of President Talon to counter the disease and build resilience to the disease among students and teachers. On the occasion, the prefectural delegation attended a session of educational activities for students in 3rd grade.On this occasion, the prefectural delegation attended a pedagogical session for pupils in the 3rd year M1 class on Covid-19, its mode of transmission, symptoms and barrier measures before going to the school canteen to check the observance of these directives.
As of March 6, 2021, it is reported that about 6071 cases have been tested positive out of 504305 in Benin with 75 deaths.
