Two health posts and two schools with seven classrooms, built under the Integrated Plan of Intervention in Municipalities (PIIM), were inaugurated on Saturday in the municipality of Camucuio, in the province of Namibe.

The facilities, built and equipped in 12 months, were inaugurated as part of festivities to mark the Day of Peace and National Reconciliation on Sunday.

Namibe Provincial Governor Archer Mangueira, who cut the ribbon at the ceremony, told the press that the social infrastructure would greatly improve the quality of life of the people in the region, who used to travel long distances in search of medical and medicinal assistance.Regarding the Municipalisation of Health Services, the governor assured that with the inaugurated infrastructures, the sector will reduce the pressure on referral centres and facilitate medical assistance to the localities."We have already recruited staff and medicines for the health facilities as we want to thank all those who have committed themselves to this endeavour."

Regarding schools, he assured that three thousand children will have access to the education system and many others will stop studying under trees, starting to have more comfort.
With more than 90 projects registered in the PIIM, of which 82 have already been validated, Namibe province has received about 13 billion kwanzas for the concretization of the above-mentioned program.
