A research project bearing fruit

Study on the entrepreneurial intentions of veterinary students: innovation, knowledge transfer and contributions to sustainable development in the ECO-ETUDEVET Region is a project led by the University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, under the responsibility of dr. Cristina Bianca Pocol.

This support is in line with the strategy of the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie in Central and Eastern Europe, which consists of supporting multi-disciplinary projects in line with regional socio-economic priorities.

With the same ambition as their commitment, the veterinary medicine researchers have multiplied the deliverables linked to this research project. In addition to the testimonials of the students involved in the project - already well known to our readers - we should note a significant presence in GTVJ Cluj's French-language magazine Le P'tit Rural (April-June 2025), with an article entitled "Du savoir à l'expérience. Young vets: what if real luxury was rural life? ". The article highlights a fundamental trend: a return to the countryside, fueled by a desire to reconnect with the real world and practice a profession with a strong social purpose.

"In a world in search of meaning, connection and balance, working in a rural environment - thanks in particular to European funding and the economic potential of less-developed areas - is certainly not a bad idea.veloped areas - is certainly not a sacrifice, but a privilege, and perhaps one of the most concrete expressions of European modernity", emphasize dr. Cristina Bianca Pocol and dr. Georgeta Grama-Moldovan.

Enjoy this online issue, which combines scientific rigor with reflection on the meaning of a profession in the throes of redefinition.
