27th Rencontres Internationales d'Urbanisme de l'APÉRAU
The Association pour la Promotion de l'Enseignement et de la Recherche en Aménagement et Urbanisme (APERAU), a member network of the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF), is organizing the 27th Rencontres Internationales d'Urbanisme (RIU), from June 9 to 11, 2026, in France.
This scientific event will take place at the Université Toulouse-Jean Jaurès, in France. It will focus on the theme:"The socio-ecological transition of cities and territories and their uses". Scientific, academic and practical experts in urban planning and sustainable development will debate contemporary urban planning issues.
APERAU's Rencontres Internationales d'Urbanisme aims to analyze the role of uses and practices, and therefore of users and residents, in the socio-ecological transition of cities and territories. More specifically, they will examine the interactions of these actors with the tools and players involved in urban planning and development.
RIU program
- June 9: APERAU doctoral meetings on the theme of 2026
- June 10 and 11: Colloquium focusing on the roles of urban and regional uses as drivers or brakes of socio-ecological transitions; their interactions with the environment and therefore with living organisms; and their place in urban policies and projects.
