Since Wednesday June 03, 2026, the Coopération Communale des Étuveuses de Riz (CCER) in Glazoué has had a unit for processing paddy rice into parboiled rice. A delegation from the Fonds National de Développement Agricole (FNDA), led by Managing Director Nicolas AHOUISSOUSSI, took provisional delivery of the infrastructure.

The Commune of Glazoué has reached a new milestone in the promotion of women's agricultural entrepreneurship. The unit financed and delivered by the FNDA is an important lever for improving the working conditions of women processors, increasing the quality of local rice and strengthening the rice value chain.

On this occasion, the beneficiaries' representative, Madame Cyprienne DOSSOU, expressed her deep gratitude to the FNDA and the Swiss Cooperation, to the local authorities and to all the partners involved in the realization of this structuring project. Their joy and commitment testify to the positive impact this unit will have on their income-generating activities and on local economic development.

The First Deputy Mayor of Glazoué, Mr. Basile GNINTONANDJEHOU, has pledged to provide electricity, fencing and any other facilities that may be lacking to ensure better operation of the processing unit.
