In mid-May, on the bangs of the Africa Forward Summit in Nairobi (Kenya), the Rector of the AUF, Prof. Slim Khalbous, was received by the Kenyan Minister for the Environment. During his meeting with the Kenyan Secretary of State for the Environment, Climate Change and Forestry, Ms Deborah M. Barasa, the Rector outlined the AUF's proposals for the Congo Basin Blue Fund. He also emphasized AUF's ability to mobilize climate experts within its member institutions.
The Minister welcomed this expertise, expressing her ministry's desire to strengthen collaboration with the AUF on climate and forestry issues, and agreeing to the signing of an agreement to this effect.
