France-Vietnam/12th Conference on Franco-Vietnamese Decentralized Cooperation in Hanoi from April 13 to 16, 2023

The Delegation for the External Action of Local Authorities (DAECT) of the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs, in association with the French Embassy in Hanoi and Cités Unies France, as well as the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Vietnamese Embassy in Paris and the city of Hanoi, invites French local authorities and their partners to participate in the 12th Assises de la Coopération Décentralisée Franco-Vietnamienne.

They will take place in Vietnam in Hanoi from April 13 to 16, 2023. You will find attached the official invitation letter, in both languages.

Organized in the framework of the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between France and Vietnam, these ^12th Assises are one of the key events, highlighting the importance and dynamism of the action of French local authorities (CTF) in Vietnam. The theme of the conference will be decentralized cooperation as a driving force for recovery and sustainable and inclusive development post-Covid-19, divided into 4 workshops (Culture, Tourism and Heritage; Environmental issues; Digital; Sustainable city).

In addition to the times of exchanges, sharing of good practices and valorization of the actions of the CTF in Vietnam, parallel events are scheduled. This is the case of the "Balade en France" festival organized by the French Embassy in Hanoi, intended to promote the various tourist destinations and French local products to the Vietnamese public. All French local authorities are welcome to attend the conference, whether or not they are already involved in Vietnam!

Several Vietnamese local authorities are looking for a BTC partner in the Partnership Exchange: the cities of Danang and Dien Bien as well as the provinces of Vinh Phuc, Phu Tho and Lang Son. For interested BTCs, the Assizes represent a good opportunity for a first meeting.
