From June 6 to 10, LafargeHolcim Morocco (LHM) employees took part in the third Volunteer Week, on the theme "Together for Biodiversity".

More than 10,000 children in schools near our sites were made aware of the need to protect biodiversity and more than 4,200 trees were planted around the various sites. The women and men of LafargeHolcim Morocco celebrated World Environment Day as part of the third week of volunteering, on the theme "Together for Biodiversity". More than 700 volunteers were mobilized in all our operational sites in Oujda, Nador, Tetouan, Tangier, Fez, Meknes, Casablanca, Oum Azza, Bouskoura, El Gara, Settat, Dar Bouazza, Agadir and Laâyoune. Last year, this mobilization of employees had allowed the planting of 4,000 trees. This year, more than 4,200 trees were planted in schools and around our industrial sites.

Our volunteer employees also took part in schools near our sites, where they made more than 10,000 schoolchildren aware of the importance of biodiversity via a fun game developed by LafargeHolcim Morocco and distributed to all the children. The sustainable development of LafargeHolcim Morocco's activities is closely linked to the development of the communities in which it operates. In addition to preserving the environment and protecting biodiversity, the company's teams are involved in numerous local initiatives to help local residents. This responsibility is supported by the "N'bniouw L'7ayat" program through which LafargeHolcim Morocco is involved in four major areas: education, health, employability and local development. This is the third volunteer week organized by LafargeHolcim Morocco. The first two were organized in 2021 and focused on environmental protection ("Tomorrow is in our hands") and road safety awareness ("On the way to school").
